Refund policy

We build tools to be used, not to sit in a box. If your VortexHaus blower does not become one of your favorite tools, we want you to feel comfortable sending it back.

This page explains how returns and refunds work for orders placed on vortexhaus.com.

1. 90-Day One-Pull Test Drive

Every blower purchased from vortexhaus.com is covered by our 90-Day One-Pull Test Drive.

  • You have 90 days from the date your order is delivered to try the tool in your real life: cars, driveway, patio, workshop, yard.
  • Normal use is expected. The blower does not need to be unused, in original condition, or in original packaging.
  • If it does not earn its place as a tool you reach for first, you can return it for a full refund of the product price.

To start a 90-day return, email us at info@vortexhaus.com with your order number and a short note about why you are returning it.

2. Who pays for return shipping

We aim to handle returns the way a serious hardware brand should:

  • If the product arrives defective, dead on arrival, damaged in transit, or we ship the wrong item:
    • We cover return shipping or will replace the unit without requiring a return, depending on the situation.
  • If you simply change your mind or decide it is not for you within 90 days:
    • You may be asked to cover return shipping.

We will confirm the appropriate option once you contact our support team.

3. Condition of returned items

Because the 90-Day One-Pull Test Drive exists so you can actually use the tool:

  • Normal wear from household or workshop use is acceptable.
  • We cannot accept returns that show intentional abuse, destructive testing, or use outside normal household or workshop environments.
  • All major components must be included (blower body, nozzle, and any included accessories for that bundle).

If something is missing, reach out before shipping the unit so we can advise you.

4. How to start a return

  1. Email info@vortexhaus.com with:
    • Your full name
    • Order number
    • Reason for return
    • Photos or a short video if the item is damaged or defective
  2. Our team will reply with:
    • Confirmation of eligibility
    • Shipping instructions
    • Any prepaid return label if we are covering shipping
  3. Pack the blower securely. Original packaging is helpful but not required.
  4. Ship the product back using the instructions provided.

5. Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will confirm approval of the refund.
  • If approved, we will process a refund of the product price to your original payment method.
  • Please allow up to 10 business days from our approval for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable except where the return is due to our error or a defective/DOA product.

If it has been more than 30 days since we confirmed your refund and you still do not see it, contact us at info@vortexhaus.com and we will investigate.

6. Damaged, incorrect, or DOA items

If your order arrives:

  • Visibly damaged,
  • Not working out of the box, or
  • Not what you ordered,

contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@vortexhaus.com with photos or a short video. In most cases we will either:

  • Send a replacement, or
  • Arrange a return at our expense and then refund or replace, at our discretion.

7. Non-returnable items

The following cannot be returned for a refund, except where required by law:

  • Custom or special-order products clearly marked as final sale
  • Gift cards

Warranty coverage may still apply. See below.

8. Warranty and Lifetime Protection

This refund policy covers returns and refunds.

Separate from refunds, your blower may also be covered by:

  • Our Standard Limited Warranty, and
  • The optional VortexHaus Limited Lifetime Warranty (if purchased with your order).

These warranties cover defects and failures under normal household or workshop use, and may entitle you to repair or replacement rather than a refund. For full details, please see our Warranty page.
